A cattle market since 1867, the Villette park (35 hectares) has, since 1979, been the site of the "Géode" (a huge hemispheric projection room), the "Grande Halle" (one of the most beautiful metal structures of the XIXth century) and the "Zénith", a hall used for performances of various kinds.
