Paris is divided into 20 administrative districts called “arrondissements” spiralling clockwise from the center of the city. The Seine river divides the city with the north called the Right Bank (or Rive Droit), and the south called the Left Bank (Rive Gauche). Each arrondissement has its own town hall and mayor. |
